A BRIDEZILLA has been mocked for sending out a strict “essay” of wedding rules to guests invited to her big day.

Among the demands on the A4 list were that people must pay for their own meal, booze and even a slice of cake.

Bright colours were banned, no cameras or phones were to be used during the ceremony and instructions were given on how to donate towards the couple’s honeymoon, The Sun reports.

The list has been shared by a stunned guest from Melbourne who was invited to attend her 19-year-old cousin’s wedding in north Queensland.

The A4 list contained a lengthy set of rules, including how to dress for the couple’s big day.

She posted on social media: “I love my family and all, but my beloved cousin who was 19 at the time decided to have a wedding, in which she sent everyone an essay of rules with the invitations.

“Not only did you have to pay for flights and accommodation if you lived in a different state, but you also had to pay for your own dinner for the wedding.

“Oh and get this, on the invitation it read: ‘If your name wasn’t on the invitation, assume you’re not invited.’”

The guest said the list also contained dress-code rules, with women told to wear “a nice skirt and top, or dress”.

Men should wear “dress pants and a nice button-up shirt”.

“No need for ball gowns or jackets,” the bride-to-be stipulated.

“Although it is not compulsory we would like to request that guests choose an outfit that fits with our theme of navy/white and silver by choosing something that has one of these colours in it somewhere.

“Please note wearing bright colours like red, orange and yellow with our photography editing style will look washed out and pastel.”

The bride also advised women not to wear heels.

But the demands stretched beyond wedding, with guests asked by the newlyweds to donate to a fundraising page.

The bride even asked guests to pay for their own food and drink.

The bride wrote: “We realise that a lot of you are travelling and the cost of paying for flights and meals for some is quite a lot so we do not expect gifts from anyone,” she said.

“However, for those of you who would still like to get us something, we are travelling to Sydney for our honeymoon and have many fun activities planned.

“We have set up a GoFundMe page where you can donate as little as $5 towards our trip. If you are unable to use internet banking, you are more than welcome to donate via cash/cheques also.”
