A WEDDING party brighten up their photos with yellow hard hats after the church was covered in scaffolding.

Andy Boyce, 55, and 49- year-old Susan Campbell chose the 800-year-old venue to celebrate their 23 years together for its pretty facade.

But with months to spare they were devastated to learn builders had been called in to carry out vital works.

So they produced the hats as the photographer began snapping outside All Saints Church in Banstead, Surrey.

Despite feeling let down after paying £1,200 for the use of the church, double glazing boss Andy said: “It was ridiculous. But everyone laughed when we got the hard hats out.
